Sup! Sorry it’s been a couple weeks since the last post, honestly I went deep into the Diablo 4 beta and then jumped into an unhealthy Diablo 2: Resurrected grind lol.
Anyways, let’s do a quick NFT Worlds Weekly Recap of last week’s most important news regarding NFT Worlds and MetaFab.
Table of Contents
The first NFT Worlds in-game screenshot!
We got a sneak peek of the first in-game screenshot of the new NFT Worlds game client! The picture is heavily blurred so we can’t see much, but you can see the general layout of the landscape.
Described as a “lone island at night”, we can see what looks like a rather small island surrounded by a large body of water (obviously) in the foreground, but you can see what looks like some pretty detailed reflections on the water. In addition, we see some sort of light source on the beach with a forest in the background, and a mountain somewhere in the distant background.
This screenshot was teased with a tweet by ArkDev on March 24th:
Behind the blur lies one of the first in-game @nftworldsNFT screenshots of a lone island at night..

Our team has been busy building an entirely new engine from scratch, in RUST (the language).
Each day is a step closer to the alpha release of the new @nftworldsNFT. pic.twitter.com/aEf3dR6PY6
To no surprise this tweet made the rounds, as it is a monumental step in the process of creating the new game engine and a huge milestone for the team and the project’s loyal holders.
A few days before this sneak peek, Ark also tweeted about the NFT Worlds team hitting a huge milestone with the in-game rendering engine pipeline.
Very excited, @nftworldsNFT internally just hit a huge milestone with the in-game rendering engine pipeline working! A ton of foundational work had to be done to get to this point.

Visuals - soon™️
Each day is a step closer, team is killing it 🙌
It seems very much like a calm-before-the-storm situation that we are currently in. The team has been laser-focused on developing the new game engine in tandem with MetaFab for the better part of 9 months, and we are starting to see the fruits of that labor.
One of the things that is awesome to consistently see is how confident ArkDev and Temptranquil are in the process and how committed to the vision they are. Remember y’all, this is all being done amongst one of the worst bear markets we’ve experienced (and the first real NFT market one), and after the fact that Microsoft rugged the entire project at it’s peak. If you’re going to invest, invest in builders and visionaries.
MetaFab's Developer Dashboard and more.
MetaFab has also had some interesting developments in the last couple of weeks.
The biggest news is that they released the MetaFab Developer Dashboards – which is a tool for developers to quickly setup, manage, and track all of the MetaFab systems used in their games.
Check the tweet:
I am not a developer. but even I tested the new dashboard out, and it is so so good. The ease-of-use and slick UI is so important for the future of onboarding developers.
I hooked up my wallet with some MATIC and created my first item collection and currency within 5 minutes. It’s really powerful stuff.
I had a slight hiccup with depositing the MATIC to my funding wallet, as I sent the MATIC on ETH instead of Polygon network, and that MATIC vanished like a fart in the wind. So make sure you check that lol.
Key features within MetaFab's Developer Dashboard:
- Launch and manage ERC20 game currencies
- Launch and manage ERC1155 collections & items
- Create on-chain shop mechanisms that allow players to buy, sell, trade and craft items
- Simplified player management & visualization -
- Seamlessly integrate & manage your own deployed contracts
- Manage your game's settings
- Hyper-powerful search
These are only some of the features you can test right now on MetaFab’s Developer Dashboards. Read the official tweet for more in-depth information about these features.

Linked transaction executability.
MetaFab also introduced linked transaction executability. The technical side of this stuff is way above me in terms of understanding at the moment.
Linked tx executability is a way for players to transact in-game without the need of an additional custom contract – which provides less friction for players and a simplified pattern for linked tx execution making it easier for developers to create systems without custom logic development.
You can read the tweet from ArkDev:
Excited for @tryMetaFab to introduce linked tx executability.
— ArkDev | HYTOPIA (@iamarkdev) March 23, 2023
This will give developers the ability to make systems that rely on all-or-nothing execution involving multiple transactions from the same or many wallets.
This will enable a lot of extended functionality without the…
NFT Worlds - The next Minecraft TWEETSTORM!
Did you catch the tweetstorm Ark put out?
He gave a highly detailed overview of the future plans for the NFT Worlds takeover and where they are innovating on Minecraft’s weaknesses and how they see the game onboarding millions of web2 and web3 gamers, and incentivizing Minecraft and indie developers to make the switch to NFT Worlds.
Here’s the tweet:
With the coming of the new NFT Worlds on the horizon, I wanted to dive deep into why we believe there’s a perfect storm brewing where @nftworldsNFT can become “The next Minecraft”.
— ArkDev | HYTOPIA (@iamarkdev) March 29, 2023
A bold claim sure, but bear with me as we dive in… This is going to be a long one.
Thread 🧵👇 pic.twitter.com/pFdoiZUZXP
There is so much alpha within this tweet that I would need to make a separate post to fully cover it.
But I love this line Ark tweeted:
“We’re here to build what we wish Minecraft had become, had it continued on its innovation.”
There are very few NFT projects with the cojones to take on such a huge endeavor like this – and taking on one of the most popular games of all-time in Minecraft that also previously rugged your entire project? Bar none.
Definitely give the thread a read, it is a phenomenal write-up and gives you a full-scope view of the objective the team is looking to achieve.
The golden age of web3 gaming is in the future, and in my opinion, NFT Worlds will be paving the way forward.
NFT Worlds and $WRLD price pump.
With all the recent news, the official NFT Worlds collection saw a significant floor price movement, almost passing 2 ETH before settling around 1.6 ETH.
Even more telling was the % listed was at 0.3% on OpenSea for a short period (0.4 across all marketplaces). That is pure insanity and a telltale sign of the pure conviction project holders have, which is an extremely healthy metric to look for.
$WRLD also saw a nice bump up to about $0.02 as people are continuing to realize it’s full potential and upcoming utility use-cases in the new game.
Temptranquil detailed some of the use-cases for $WRLD 2.0 in the NFT Worlds Discord:
Conclusion
There was a lot of massive updates the past two weeks regarding NFT Worlds and MetaFab.
Two powerhouse projects that are paving the way for web3 games to onboard the masses – and they are being built simultaneously by the same team.
We got the first sneak peek of the first NFT Worlds in-game screenshot, MetaFab’s Developer Dashboards with linked tx executability, and a bombshell tweet by Ark detailing the innovations they are providing over Minecraft.
