The Loot Legends Closed Beta ended on August 19th and now everyone is wondering… wen P2A? Well we have an answer.
According to EROD on the Loot Legends Community Town Hall space on X on Thursday, the P2A is expected to release sometime in September – but has no official release date yet.
The P2A release is also categorized as the full Public Release. LFG!
Let’s get into some key takeaways from the Town Hall space – and a thank you to Adonis for posting a great roundup in this X post.
The Outpost Launches on P2A!
Phase 1: Early Outpost Features
The first version of The Outpost will go live with the public release. Players will be able to spend $TOPIA on the website to purchase Diamonds, the premium in-game currency for Loot Legends. By purchasing Diamonds and items with $TOPIA through The Outpost, you’ll receive a 30% discount compared to in-game purchases!
Note: The $TOPIA conversion rate isn’t fixed and will fluctuate with the liquidity pool’s current price.
It will be interesting to see how the game is impacted through the first iteration of The Outpost. Throughout the private testing and closed beta testing, purchasing items on the shop with real currency was disabled, as were purchasing Diamonds.
Whales could make a significant impact as Diamonds are a huge pay-for-convenience feature, similar to Gems in Clash of Clans and how they significantly speed up progress.
This also marks the first potentially impactful token sink for $TOPIA, something the HYCHAIN community has been anxiously waiting for since it’s inception.
Phase 2: NFT Trading (Coming Later)
The second phase of the Outpost launch will enable trading of Loot Legends items as NFTs. This feature will be rolled out at a later stage, adding another layer of depth to the game.
This is where things get interesting. The second phase will enable players to convert their items to NFTs in-game and sell them on the marketplace in $USDC or $TOPIA, and then buyers can convert their NFTs to items to be playable in Loot Legends. Converting items will have no fee and can be done at any time.
Loot Legends at it’s core is a grinding game, with acquiring high-level gear being stifled by high difficulty content and soulbinding limitations. Players can either be impatient, unlucky, or big spenders – so it will be interesting to see how active the item marketplace will be when it is released. Since items that are low-quality do always have the value of scrap-padding or levelling up gear, you can expect those to be listed alongside god-tier item rolls.
Lootboxes for Closed Beta Participants
If you participated in the Closed Beta you will earn lootboxes for participating in certain tasks! Here’s what you need to know about the lootbox rewards.
Earn Lootboxes by Participating in:
- Completing Dungeons
- Joining a Guild
- Being a Guild Master
- Pre-registering for Loot Legends
- Belonging to a top Guild
- Reporting key bugs
- Experiencing login issues during the Beta
These lootboxes will drop at the public release and will contain Diamonds and other valuable in-game items to kickstart your adventure.
Guilds Are Important!
Guilds are set to play a pivotal role in Loot Legends. Being in a top guild will offer players significant perks, making guild membership essential for progressing in the game.
If you’ve been playing in a guild throughout the testing phase, you’ll know that participating in Guild Bosses and Guild Tasks offers significant incentives such as Diamonds, Runes, and Gold rewards. Levelling up Guild Skills also grants permanent buffs to your character like increasing your HP and Movement Speed.
0xSomething and EROD emphasized that guilds will be central to the gameplay loop, likely becoming a core component of the game’s long-term appeal. We can expect additional guild features and mechanics in the future – possibly even group PvP! So, start planning your guild strategy now!
Get Ready for P2A!
It’s going to feel like a long wait, but the public release of Loot Legends is soooooon! The full public release / P2A is expected to release in September and with it we will be getting the first iteration of The Outpost barring any delays.
This will mark the first significant $TOPIA token sink as well as a major milestone for HYCHAIN. Players are anxiously waiting to play since the closed beta concluded, and the public release is certainly shaping up to be a big event for the ecosystem.
