If you’re like me and spend a lot of time both gaming and working on your computer, finding the right mouse can be a bit of a challenge. You want something that’s precise enough for gaming but also comfortable and efficient for all the hours spent on day-to-day tasks.
Since I do spend most of my day sitting at a computer (I do touch grass sometimes though) – having a comfortable mouse is essential. For years I’ve been using bulky MMO mice or other cheap wireless ones from Best Buy. After a long five years, I decided to upgrade after my G600 failed me.
Enter the Logitech G Pro Wireless Gaming Mouse – this mouse has quickly become my go-to for everything I do on my computer. I actually own the League Of Legends Edition, but the only differences are price and cosmetics.
I didn’t plan to go the wireless route, as I’d been so accustomed to wired mice my whole life. I just assumed wireless mice would have all sorts of connection issues and lagginess. But a friend recommended the G Pro Wireless to me, so I took a stab on it based on all of the great reviews. I got the League of Legends Edition version of the G Pro Wireless because I was deep in an ARAM phase at the time.
Let me tell you, I absolutely love it (the mouse, not League) and here’s why.
Logitech G PRO Wireless Mouse Highlights
- HERO 25K Sensor: This is where the G Pro Wireless really shines. The HERO 25K sensor is super accurate, with a DPI range from 100 all the way up to 25,600. Whether you need extreme precision for gaming or detailed work tasks, this mouse has everything you need.
- LIGHTSPEED Wireless Tech: I haven’t really been a fan of wireless mice in the past. They always felt a bit laggy to me, but that’s not the case here. Logitech’s LIGHTSPEED wireless technology gives you the same performance as a wired connection, with a 1ms report rate that makes it feel like your actions are happening instantly. I honestly cannot tell the difference between wired vs wireless now.
- Ultra-Lightweight Build: At just 80g, this mouse is one of the lightest you’ll find. It literally feels like a feather in your hand while also being extremely solid. It’s made a huge difference for me – especially after long gaming sessions or workdays.
- Impressive Battery Life: Recharging batteries is a PITA, and wireless devices are usually dead when you need them the most. The G Pro Wireless can go up to 60 hours on a single charge if you turn off the RGB lighting, or around 48 hours with the lights on. Either way, it’s enough to get me through several days without worrying about plugging it in.
- Customizable Buttons: The mouse has four removable side buttons that you can arrange however you like. Whether you’re looking to simplify your setup for everyday tasks or add more buttons for gaming keybinds, this mouse can adapt to your needs.
- Onboard Memory: I love that I can save my custom settings directly on the mouse. If I switch between my home PC and laptop, my profiles come with me, so I’m not constantly reconfiguring everything.
- RGB Lighting: Alright, I know RGB lighting isn’t essential, but I mean… kinda. The G Pro Wireless lets you choose from 16.8 million colors and different effects, so you can match your setup or just add a bit of flavor.
- Made with and for Pro Gamers: G Pro Wireless Gaming Mouse is the result of two years of work with professional esports gamers, combing advanced technologies in an ultra-lightweight design
- Light-speed Wireless: Pro grade performance overcomes the traditional limitations of wireless latency, connectivity and power to deliver a rock solid, super-fast 1 millisecond report rate connection

Logitech G Pro Wireless – Design and Feel
The first thing I noticed about the G Pro Wireless was just how light it actually is. At only 80 grams, it really just feels effortless to move around, which is a game-changer after gaming for long hours or long workdays. Despite it being so light, it’s also incredibly solid, with a nice matte finish that gives it a nice grip without feeling sticky.
The mouse has a pretty low-profile and compact shape. I have somewhat big hands, but its mainly long skeletor-like fingers – and I haven’t had any issues related to comfort using this mouse. The mouse is on the smaller side though so people that have mittens for hands could potentially find discomfort.
It’s ambidextrous too.
This isn’t a feature I particularly need, but it is worth noting that the G Pro has an ambidextrous design. I’m right-handed, but I know lefties often get the short end of the stick. Logitech thought of y’all here – and you can easily switch the side buttons to suit your preference, making this mouse versatile no matter how you hold it.
Logitech G Pro Wireless – Gaming Performance
Let’s talk gaming. The precision of the HERO 25K sensor is incredible – especially in FPS games. I’m a huge fan of Overwatch, (not as much 2, thanks Blizzard) but I can easily make quick movements and flicks with confidence, knowing that every flick of the mouse will be registered accurately. The LIGHTSPEED wireless technology means there’s no noticeable lag, which is crucial during high-speed gameplay.
It’s also so… damn… light. It makes it a lot easier to react quickly, and I’ve found that my hand doesn’t get tired as easily during long gaming sessions. The customizable buttons are also perfect for setting up custom keybinds like melee or crouch.
It isn’t the best for MMOs.
Perhaps one of the only gripes I have with the G Pro is it isn’t particularly the best for MMOs – depending on what game you play. And to be fair, it’s not really intended to be. I’m an avid Elder Scrolls Online player, which is definitely on the more casual scale as far as MMORPG games go. The G Pro works perfectly fine after getting used to it, but it does only have 4 customizable side buttons. In certain games (like World of Warcraft or Guild Wars 2) and some situations you will miss the excess amount of custom keys that you get with a specialized MMO mouse.
Coming from the much bulkier Logitech G600 mouse, this definitely took time to get used to. So if you’re playing a game that actually requires a lot of keybinds or are used to setting many up on your side mouse buttons, the G Pro may not be for you.
However, for a vast majority of games, the G Pro Wireless is an excellent choice and you will have no limitations.
It’s Great for Productivity Too
Beyond gaming, the G Pro Wireless has also been huge for my day-to-day work. The precision of the sensor is just as useful for tasks like data entry, graphic design, and video editing as it is for gaming. I spend a lot of time using Photoshop and other tools for my day job and also All Your Loot on my graveyard shift, so I also find the lightweight and ergonomic design just reduces so much unnecessary strain on my hand.
The customizable buttons are also a good time-saver. I’ve programmed them for quick access to things like copy-paste, undo/redo, and even navigating through browser tabs. It’s made my workflow much smoother and more efficient overall.
Logitech G Pro Wireless – Battery Life
The battery life on the G Pro Wireless is also fantastic. It is rated at 60 hours of battery life with No Lighting, and 48 hours with Default Lighting. I’ve had this mouse for about 2 years now, and the battery life has never been an issue at all.
On a full charge, I can expect to use the mouse for 3-4 days of consistent use. I will typically charge mine or turn it off overnight anyways, but this thing is hardly ever dead.
The G Pro Wireless comes with a USB cable dongle that plugs into the front of the mouse to charge. So if you do run out of battery, you can simply plug it in and use it as a wired mouse in the meantime.
And if you really hate going wired, you can check out the Logitech G POWERPLAY Charging Pad which wirelessly charges your mouse while you play. I’ve never actually used this, but based on the reviews and it being an official Logitech product, it’s probably pretty good.
Logitech G Pro Wireless – Pricing
I’ll be honest, it ain’t a cheap mouse. But as the old saying goes, “you get what you pay for”. You can surely guarantee high-performance, build quality, and reliability at this price point. From personal experience, all three of those factors are top-notch. It normally retails for $129.99, but it does often go on sale.

Logitech G Hub Software
When I first started using the Logitech G Hub software, it was definitely a sight for sore eyes. It’s pretty easy to learn all of the different settings you can adjust for your devices. Here’s a quick rundown of what I like about it and how you can tweak your mouse settings:
- Button Customization: Setting up your keybinds is very intuitive with a drag-and-drop interface that let’s you drop the functions right onto the buttons in the interface. You can also set different keybinds for different games.
- DPI Settings: You can fine-tune the DPI settings for different tasks or games. You can add up to 5 DPI speeds that can be switched with the DPI SHIFT button on the bottom of the mouse. You can also adjust report rates to your liking.
- RGB Lighting: There’s a good amount of options you can choose for RGB. For the G Pro you can choose between 6 different effects (Off, Fixed, Cycle, Breathing, Screen Sampler, and Audio Visualizer). You can then pick colors, adjust rate and brightness, and even sync it with other Logitech gear. It’s a fun way to match your setup or just make things look cool.
- Profiles: Creating and switching between profiles for different games or work tasks is super handy. Each profile can have its own settings, so everything is ready to go with just a click.
Overall, G Hub is a very clean and intuitive software that has plenty of cool features and is easy to learn. You can control all of your Logitech devices from one place, and also sync their effects together to personalize your desktop vibe. Even my Logitech C920 webcam has rather extensive photo and video settings I can adjust.
To change your settings for the G Pro, just open Logitech G Hub, select your G Pro Wireless Mouse, and play around with the options. It’s intuitive and lets you get the most out of your mouse for both gaming and work.
Logitech G Pro Wireless – Final Thoughts
Overall, the Logitech G Pro Wireless Mouse has been a great new addition to my setup. I’ve been using it for about 2 years now, and outside of it not being the best for some MMORPGs, I hardly have any complaints. Whether I’m gaming or getting work done, it delivers exactly what I need – precision, comfort, and reliability.
If you’re looking for a mouse that can handle both your gaming and productivity needs without breaking a sweat, I can’t recommend the Logitech G Pro Wireless enough.
